The Black Smoke Rooftop

Our rooftop terrace is high above the city, where you are embraced by a refreshing breeze and treated to the Antwerp skyline while the fire of Hell’s Kitchen rages beneath your feet. There is a wonderful urban vibe at the highest point of the City Brewery. Come and enjoy the skyline or the sunset, while busy city life goes about its normal business six floors below. 

On the sunniest days, (inter)national DJs provide unique sunset sessions. The rooftop – a roof terrace at a height of 23 meters and with a 360-degree view of the city – is open from May to October. In the distance, you will recognise The Cathedral of Our Lady, the Boerentoren and Antwerp Central Station, and of course you will get the best view over Berchem.

On the Rooftop you will find a full-service bar: the team of top bartender Jonathan Scheerlinck shakes and stirs the best cocktails in the ‘Craftbeer- & Cocktailbar’.
In the fridge and on tap are, how could it not be, beers from De Koninck and Brewery Duvel-Moortgat. You can also dine & snack to your heart’s content and especially without reservations because on our rooftop we work on a ‘first come, first served’ principle. At weekends, weather permitting, we also serve our Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch on the rooftop.

Black Smoke’s rooftop can accommodate 119 people.
There is the possibility of organizing unique private parties or B2B events.
